Neat and Tangled on Moxie Fab!

Hi there!

Some exciting news to share today, Neat and Tangled has been given Moxie Fab World's Stamp of Approval!

As you know, I'm totally in love with all of the gorgeous stamps that Danielle has created, so it's always such a pleasure for me to make projects with them!

Today the DT and I are making tags to go along with this exciting occasion!

Here's mine:

I went a bit mixed media with this one. OK the how to's:

I took a shipping tag and "adhered" some vintage text print over the top of it using Multi Matte Medium.
Then I smeared, swiped, painted and smudged some Copper coloured paint (from an OLD paint dabber)over the top. Once that was heat set, I added a few smears of Picket Fence Distress stains.

I heat set all of that too.

Then I cut the tag shape out (up until this point, I'd left the vintage book print page whole, just stuck on top of the tag. I wanted to play a bit before I trimmed it up)

Next I stamped the gorgeous flower from Fresh Blooms using Staz On around the tag,  heat set that, added a doily with more Multi Matte Medium and guess what?! Heat set that!  I added some more flowers and the swirls from Fresh Blooms.

On a separate scrap of Neenah cardstock, I stamped the flower again and some leaves, before Copic-colouring them and cutting them out. I adhered them all down to the tag, then added some diamond stickles to the flowertop. Gah it's so gorgeous in real life.

I added the sentiment and the ribbon (from Mossy Made) through the top hole, and I set about embellishing the tag.

Some washi tape, more Mossy Made ribbon made into a scrunched-line, and some Lawn Fawn twine (LOVE) and I finished up using a pin from Basic Grey and a gemstone for the centre of the flower.

For the final 'flourish' (Coz clearly this tag needed more LOL) I added some black paint around the very edge of the tag to give it a nice border.

It's all very rough and fun, there was NO stress in creating this tag, no perfection required--and I love it! I'll be doing more tags like this I think! So fun to just play without the worry.

Hope you'll pop over to the Neat and Tangled Blog to check out the rest of the DT's work! Their projects are amazing as always!

See you again soon--thanks so much for joining me!

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 79

Hi there!

I'm back with this week's Shopping Our Stash challenge! it's a goodie this week!

ODDS AND ENDS (or bits and bobs, tidbits etc etc)
use two different types of embellishements (odds and ends in your stash- the lone white pearl and a scrap of ribbon for example,  or two red buttons and one green pearl, or scrap of twine and a button, or the left over brad from the package with a sticker) any amount/combo is fine as long as two different types are included.

So this is my card:

I'll be totally honest, I made this card a while back, but it DID use a lot of bits and bobs that were all around.  The pearls, the black patterned paper at the back, the chevron stamped paper, the ribbon, all of it! WOOHOO!

OK, so now it's your turn, use a couple of bits and bobs and show us what you make!

Head over to the blog now, coz I'm sure you wanna see the rest of the DT's amazing projects!

Thanks for stopping by!

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #77

Hi!

It's time for another Shopping Our Stash challenge!

This week's theme is:

Thanksgiving or a Thank You Card

Ok so that is SUCH a bad photo of this card, in real life, it's truly lovely.

I stamped the Hero Arts radiant banner stamp with Memento Grape Jelly Ink, then used some Neenah white cardstock that I had a big scrap piece of, tore the edge of it and added some Colorbox Chalk ink. I wanted the bottom section to look like the Alps, --I think it does :)

After I stamped my sentiment and adhered that piece down to the base card, I added some diamond stickles to the radiant banner. In real  life the shine and shimmer is really lovely.  Here is a closer photo but it still doens't show it off quite right :)

OK! That's it for me today, a short one!

I'll be back really soon though :)

Have a great day!

Mama Elephant=LOVE

Hello friends!

I'm here today with the first of several cards I've made, using stamps from a brand-spankin new company MAMA ELEPHANT!

They are ADORABLE images, crisp, clean, cute and whimsical, with a touch of elegance. Just wonderful. The customer service and shipping rates are unbeatable. Overall?! PERFECTION!!

So here is today's card

How adorable is that giraffe image?! I stamped three giraffes (two big and one small) then I coloured them with Copic Markers. I used slightly different shading for them all, so you could tell there was a Mum, Dad and Baby :) Their little feet make me want to shriek they're so cute.

I fussy cut them out after I finished colouring, and adhered them using dimensional squares, so that they'd sit a little higher than the banner. I made sure to overlap the banner with the giraffes so it looks like they're sitting ON it.

I used the Simon Says Stamp banner die for the sentiment and I swiped some Picked Rasp[berry distress ink on the back of the little folded part of the banner, to give a nice bit of interest to an otherwise totally white banner. I think it finishes it off nicely!

I'll be back soon with some more cards using this wonderful new company's products!! For now, I Hope you'll leave some comment love!

Hope you like! I'm definitely in love :)

See you soon!

Linda xoxo

Here are the goodies I used to make it.
