Hi friends

I'm taking some time away from most/all things electronic this week, but wanted to quickly stop in and show you this card I shared over at the Create A Smile blog last week.

I used Memento Luxe Inks and Friends in the Woods stamp set, Mama Elephant die (stitched borders), and Impression Obsession background stamp :)

Sorry for the short post, but I gotta run!

Some Odd Girl Release day: School Supplies

Hi friends!

I'm here with my card, from the second set being released this week!

School Supplies is such a fun set, full of school-themed images and punny sentiments.

Check out my card:

I wanted this card to be full full full of colour.

First I stamped the rainbow of crayons and added the sentiments. Next I coloured and fussy cut them, and then I sprayed a background panel with colour mists.

I mounted the misted panel onto a black matte, before adhering the crayons down with dimensional adhesive.

Finally I added that panel onto the main cardbase, at an offset angle.

That's it! I wanted the main card base to be a nice simple white, to allow the coloured images and sprayed panel be the feature.

I hope you'll come check out the rest of the creations made by the design team, they're all amazing!

All newly released sets are available in store now!

See you again soon!

Some Odd Girl Release: Teacher Mae

Hi friends!

It's release time at Some Odd Girl!

This month's sets are cute as ever and they're really going to be getting used a LOT around here!

Here's my card:

I thought it would be fun to stamp this gorgeous image onto dictionary paper (note that I found the page with the definition of illiteracy?!)

I love how this turned out! I coloured in with my Prismacolour Pencils and Made sure to really blend well.

Such a fun way to use a stamp!

Hope you'll pop back again tomorrow, you'll get to see the other set we're releasing this week!

See you then!

It's finally here!!! Today is the first official day of CREATE A SMILE STAMPS!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell I'm excited??

Welcome to the Create A Smile First Release Blog Hop!

Create a Smile is a new stamp company in town, located in Germany!
When Christine Drogt started illustrating and sharing images with friends, it soon became crystal-clear that those images would make awesome clear stamps.  Because Christine has always loved to make people smile (it can be as easy as smiling at strangers!) the name was found quickly (thanks to her friend Alison!) and the vision became reality.

Create A Smile stamps are made of high quality photo-polymer and produced in Germany. They will for sure make you smile!

We’re thrilled you are joining us as we begin this great adventure! We truly love the fantastic paper-crafting community (YOU!) and are so excited to be bringing something new to you all!

Challenge Time at ABNH:Colouring

Hi friends!

It's time for another challenge over at ABNH and this month we're SUPER lucky to get to play with Paper Smooches!

So the challenge this month is

COLOUR IT! Super easy, just ensure you include some colouring in!

I decided to make the colouring part, the feature of the card. Here's what I came up with.

I simply coloured in the hearts with copics, cut them out then mounted them onto the cross-hatched panel I'd stamped. I had some Lawn Fawn twine behind them, and mounted them so they'd look as thought they were hanging off the line.

For the finishing touch, I added faux stitching around the outside of the top part of the panel, and some stickles to the hearts.

Hope you like!

I do hope you'll join us in the challenge, because you'll be in for a chance to win a
