Long time no post...

Hi there!!

I'm so so sorry it's been such a long time, but it's been a cuh-raaaazy month.

We've finally moved into our new home, on the opposite side of the country (thus the delay in blogging) and it's just been manic!

To give you a recap:
Sept 1-8: In Perth (Western Australia), packing up the last of our stuff and loading it onto a huge container for it to be transported across the country to Melbourne (Southern East of Australia). Fly to Melbourne.
Sept 9: Lawnscaping Blog hop :) Thank you all SO SO much for all of the amazing comments, I was so excited to participate in it and to get such an overwhelmingly positive response from everyone on my little Critters Nativity card :)
Sept 9-16: Painting the inside of new house, cleaning it, waiting for our cars and furniture to arrive and basically leaving my poor hubby Matt with our 2 beautiful (but they're handfuls!) daughters for almost the entire day, every day, all week so I could get the house ready for us to move in.
Sept 17-24: Move in, become almost overwhelmed by how many boxes we had (and how much STUFF was inside them--despite the fact that I've been 'culling' our belongings for the past 6 months and felt like I'd practically thrown everything we owned away!)
**At some point in there I got to shriek in delight over all my shoes that I hadn't seen in almost 2 years because they'd been in storage--I can't wait to get to all my handbags :) They're my obsession. lol)**
Add to this all, Charlotte got sick, Matt was stressed because he hates moving, it's rained almost every day since we got here and it's CUH CUH CUH COOOOLD--I forgot how cold it gets over here! and you basically have a recipe for me collapsing at about 10pm each night and sleeping like the dead.

Oh, and now I'm sick too. great.

anyhow, I'm only just now starting to get my crafting stuff out of boxes and into an actual bookshelf dedicated soley TO my crafting goodies (this is big news :)), so I've not made anything in almost a month and I can't wait to get back to it.

SO I just wanted to let you all know, I haven't forgotten you :)

and I"ll be back again soon xxx

The first ever Lawnscaping Blog-hop!!!

Hello and welcome to the very first ever Lawnscaping Blog-hop!!!

Hopefully you have arrived here at my blog from the lovely Kim Duran's blog!!  If at any point you lose your way along this bloggety-hop, just pop back to the Lawnscapings Challenge Blog and you can either start again (and come on, why wouldn't you want to check everything out at least twice?!)

So when I received my email from Laurel, saying the theme was the holidays, I immediately started staring at my Lawn Fawn stamps, turning them every which way, waiting for inspiration to strike and it didn't take long!

The little critters just spoke to me and said "tell them what the nativity REALLY looked like!" lol. So I had to listen to them.
I used Enamel Accents on the eyes (makes them look like they have false eyelashes lol!)

The card was quite simple, just took a bit of planning, and LOTS of masking :)
The critters were all coloured with Copic Markers, and a little distress ink was applied around the 'background' and to make the star's "beam of light".  I added some distress stickles to the star to give it a bit of glimmer and shine.

I hope you like it!

Don't forget!! The hop runs from Friday, September 9th - Sunday, September 11th! Make sure to comment on all of the blogs because there are LOTS of prizes to be won! All the details can be found on the Lawnscaping home page (http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com).

Next on to the hop you pop over to the amazing Isha's blog.

Thanks so much for joining me here today and I hope you come back again soon!

Have a wonderfully crafty day!
