Case me a Christmas Card with Michelle Lupton

 Hello crafting peeps,

I'm here to share a card that I made to celebrate Michelle Lupton's annual christmas card event.

It's been my honour and privilege to participate every year for several years now, and this year with all the ups and downs we've had, its important to try to keep some normality!

I didn't case a specific card but I decided instead to think of Michelle's cards and what some of her go-to moves are. I love that she uses diagonals and stencils so beautifully, but I decided to stick with something simple and striking.

I used the Hero Arts Protea Flowers stamp set, coloured it in with my prismacolour pencils. I then added some gold accents with a gelly roll pen. The sentiment is from an old set, but you could easily use any of the cute woodblock stamps that are available in the store here

For a last minute addition, I added some gold foil strips on either side of the panel, which was a genius suggestion from my friend Lisa. Totally saved the card!

To have a look at Michelle's card, go HERE and make sure to leave her some comment love.

I hope you like the card :)

see you soon!

A Blog named Hero May Challenge!

Hi there

I'm here with a new card that I made, the first card I've made in my new house! Very exciting to break in my new little craft room!

The challenge this month is

Here's my card:

I might be more in love with this card than I've been in a card for a long long time.

I water-coloured the background wreath free-hand, then stamped several images repeatedly from the Hero Arts Flower Bouquet Pieces D1732 stamp set. I then watercoloured those with darker blues and aquas, so set off the background. The sentiment is an oldie but a goodie CL954 Many Everyday Messages (one of my most-used sets!)

I hope you like it and you'll head over to A Blog Named Hero, to check out the rest of the design team's creations, because they're GORGEOUS. Don't forget that your entry goes in to win one of two gift vouchers thanks to our beloved sponsors, Hero Arts.

Such a great time of year to really make a bunch of cards, ready for the year ahead!

Here's mine

I coloured in the delightful bouquet with Copic markers, and just added it to the background which I'd stamped with the concentric dot circle stamp, something I've had my eye on for such a long time.  Then I added a few little finishing touches with glitter gelly roll pen and white gel pen.

thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop by the blog to check out the rest of the DT's projects.

Craft with you soon :)

New challenge at A Blog Named Hero

Hi friends,

Happy new year!

I'm back with a card I'm sharing over at A Blog Named Hero, for the newest challenge.

I used an older cling background stamp, and white heat embossed it before using the Colour resist technique with three Distress Oxide inks.  I then diecut the happy die, out of cardstock that I had coloured myself, using the Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink (and dried!) then another layer out of black cardstock.

For the final sentiment I used a tiny Hero Arts alphabet set called Alpha Tags stamp n cut which I also white heat embossed.

I set the layers up on a black notecard,  and added a few finishing touches with a white gel pen to make the 'happy' diecut look ore dimensional.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll join us for the challenge :)

See you again soon!

Linda xoxo
