Neat and Tangled Stamps: Just Hello premiere

Hi there friends!

I'm back with another stamp set from the amazing new line my gorgeous friend Danielle has released!

The set that's under the spotlight today is called Just Hello and it is THE SWEETEST.  Cute, playful telephones and envelopes, along with sweet sentiments that make is so so easy to make fun and bright projects.

Here are my two cards to showcase this fabulous set:

First I took a piece of Neenah solar white cardstock and cut it to size, then I clear embossed the zigzag stamp from the Neat and Tangled "Little Tangles" set, over the entire background of the cardstock.

Next I spritzed some Dylusions Ink sprays over the cardstock, (GET SOME IMMEDIATELY! ITS AMAZING!) then hit it with my heat gun. Before it was totally dry, I ran a damp cloth carefully over the embossed zigzag image, to bring it out just a little more and remove any excess ink spray. I finished drying the cardstock then.

I added a doily on the side, trimming off the excess and a strip of vintage book print.
I took some Neenah Desert Storm (kraft) cardstock and stamped the envelope image several times using Memento Espresso Truffle and Toffee Crunch inks. I cut them all out, had a rest so my hand could recover :) then added them all across the card, so they'd look almost like they were flying (think Harry Potter and the letters from Hogwarts :)).

Lastly I stamped the sentiment and adhered it all down to a black matte, then a red cardbase (both of these were Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock.
I'm totally in love with this card.

This next card is *much* more muted but I love it so :) I wanted something simple but punchy.

Using kraft cardstock, I ran the bottom 1/3 (or so) through my Big Shot machine using the cool Spellbinders M-bossabilities hexagon embossing folder (love it).
Then I stamped the phone and sentiment using Tuxedo black ink. I coloured the phone in heavily with Prismacolour pencils (I didn't want to use copics or distress markers because I thought they would bleed through the cardbase). I then added Glossy Accents to the phone. It needed to be shiny :)

Finally I took my handy-dandy new white gel pen and 'filled in' the centre hexagons, I intentionally made the 'filling in' trail off. I wanted more of a graphic look than having them all coloured white.
Then I added a faux stitching line around the outside of the top half!

Here is a look at that shiny phone--just lovely :)

I'm really happy with how graphic this card turned out, it was exactly how I envisioned it when I looked at that phone in the stamp set! (The stamps do all the work I tell you!)

Here are the goodies you'll need to make these cards:
