Hello!
I'm here to share the card I made for the current challenge over at ABNH.
The challenge this time is The Krafty Crafter!! Use kraft cardstock in SOME WAY. easy peasy.
Here is my card:
I was inspired MAJORLY when I saw this photo over on pinterest.
I took some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, and I stamped the Hero Arts Friends definition background stamp in white Colorbox ink, then heat set it to make sure it dried. Next I stamped the flower background and clear embossed it.
I coloured in the flowers (which were not embossed as its a negative image), using my beloved Prismacolor pencils. I started with the white, which I used only on the one side of most of the flowers, I wanted it to look almost like a shadow (but white) then I started with the pinky oranges :) A very soft pink, then added a coral, a dark coral-orange, a red and finally the yellow just in little centres and a few small areas. I then went back over the entire image (not the white parts though) with the palest pink to blend it all together.
I left the stems and leaves plain and I think they look awesome.
Actually I have to be honest, I'm completely in love with this card. I might take the sentiment off and just frame it :)
Oh, the sentiment is Hero Arts too :) Finally I just matted the card onto black, then caramel coloured Bazzill Card shoppe cardstock. Yum.
