Hello hello!
I'm back with another card for Moxie Fab World Card Creations Week!
This week they're focussing on the oh-so-fun-and-arty SPLATTER technique! FUN FUN!
So here is my card :)
Lots of Mr Hueys and a little Hero Arts. My Happy place!
To get this particular effect (droplets instead of a spray effect) I unscrewed the lid (cap) of the Mr Hueys, gently rattled the "syphon tube" (the little tube inside the bottle that's attached to the lid) ** inside the bottle to remove excess ink, then I pulled it out, held it over the top of the cardstock (about 6 inches away) and tapped the lid, which made the ink still in the tube, splatter out :)
**thanks Sidney for the term "Syphon Tube" lol
I then repeated with all the colours of Mr Hueys.
Next I stamped the 'Hello' sentiment in black ink, then again in versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder (this would have been MUCH easier if I had black embossing powder LOL)
That's it! I love the simplicity of it :)
Thanks so much for popping by my lil piece of blog-land!
Hope you liked the card!

This is so cute and fun. :) Love your 'splatters'!. I can never get mine to look good like that... it always just looks like a big ol' mess. LOL This is GREAT!
ReplyDeleteLinda this is so cool! I love the simplicity of it!!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely terrific card! Love your splotches!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun card! I love that rainbow of splatters! So fun! :)
ReplyDeletea splat-astic card :) yeah, i just did that :)
ReplyDeletelove it! I like splattering better than spraying anyway. BTW, do you own Versafine black ink? That is the secret to black embossing I have found. I don't like black embossing powder, but Versafine is sticky enough that you can clear emboss it and it looks like black embossing!
ReplyDeleteLove the effect you got! Perfect CAS card, love it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Linda :-) I loved seeing your new goodies on your video too :-),,, enjoy :-)
