The result of New goodies

Hello crafty peeps!!

It's super late right now and my kids have been waking me up earlier and EARLIER lately, so this will have to be ramble free (hear that typing hands?! NO RAMBLING!)

So today I got a HUUUUGE box of goodies from my darling friend Linda, who has been diligently packing craft goodies away for me since DECEMBER and I'm so so so super excited they arrived. I even did a haul video--and I'm really not a fan of haul videos. I'll put it in the bottom of this post :)

Anyhoo, I sat down tonight to have a play with some of the new precious items that had arrived :) Here's what I made
this is a BAD photo, sorry, but it's too late to pull out my photo tent!
 I'm entering this into

OH! and here's my haul video if you'd like to see it. Apologies for the blurriness, I didn't notice it until I'd uploaded the video to my PC AND converted it into a different file format. (and I wasn't going to re-shoot it then! LOL)

If you have any questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you!

Take care! Thanks for looking :)

Splat..ter

Hello hello!

I'm back with another card for Moxie Fab World Card Creations Week!

This week they're focussing on the oh-so-fun-and-arty SPLATTER technique! FUN FUN!

So here is my card :)

Lots of Mr Hueys and a little Hero Arts. My Happy place!

To get this particular effect (droplets instead of a spray effect) I unscrewed the lid (cap) of the Mr Hueys, gently rattled the "syphon tube" (the little tube inside the bottle that's attached to the lid) ** inside the bottle to remove excess ink, then I pulled it out, held it over the top of the cardstock (about 6 inches away) and tapped the lid, which made the ink still in the tube, splatter out :)

**thanks Sidney for the term "Syphon Tube" lol

I then repeated with all the colours of Mr Hueys.

Next I stamped the 'Hello' sentiment in black ink, then again in versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder (this would have been MUCH easier if I had black embossing powder LOL)

That's it! I love the simplicity of it :)

Hope you liked the card!

Tuesday Trigger

Hello!

So over at Moxie Fab World, they have this thing going called Tuesday Trigger. I kept seeing it pop up on various people's blogs around the place but never quite realised what it was (duh!), so i popped over there last night to see what it was all about.

Turns out it's a weekly challenge based on an inspiration photo.

Here is the photo for this week's trigger Bright Bite

How awesome are those colours?!

So I knew exactly what card I wanted to make...then that failed dismally LOL (it was REALLY boring). So I moved on and tried again. Here's what happened:
The main background is covered with washi tape (I've got so much of it, thought it was time to actually haul some out and use it). Next I added the sentiment banner, and a cake from the Hero Arts clear set, coloured the cake in with Memento markers and added some twine!!

So fun.

OK< I'll be back soon, i've been scouring the Moxie Fab World pages for more inspiration and I have to tell you--theres a BOAT LOAD.

xoxo

Follow your Dreams

Hi again!

I've been 'feeling the CAS vibe lately' so I went with it! This week's challenge at the Lawnscaping blog is

I really loved how my gorgeous friend Chari did the hand-drawn border around her ADORABLE card HERE (well actually I loved the entire card, but the border just stuck in my mind ever since I saw it.)

So super simple. In real life? This card is so pretty. (If I'm allowed to say that myself)
Glossseeehhhh

Here's what you'll need (as well as a black fine-tipped pen. I use American Crafts precision pens).

Pinwheel goodies :)

Hello!

I'm here with two VERY short posts today for two very CLEAN and VERY VERY simple cards!

I'm entering them into this weeks Lawnscaping Challenge!

Some cute washi tape (or really it's 'decorative tape' as it's not made of paper), some stamping :), some colouring and some stickles :)

and here's a closer shot of the cute little pinwheels in all their glittery goodness.

Here is what you need to make this card:

That's it from me, till the next post which will be up in oh, five minutes lol (You need a separate post for each entry into the challenge) !

But apart from these two cards for the Lawnscaping challenge, I've been card-making up a STORM lately, so I'll be back to share more VERY soon

Congratulations Jennifer!!

Hello!!

As I'm sure you're ALL well aware, Jennifer McGuire has been pregnant for about, oh, 4 years (it seems like that for us, so I'm sure it's felt like even longer for her!) and SO, given how amazing she is, how much support she has shown us all, and (most importantly) how much of an inspiration she is to us, we thought it would be nice if all of the A Blog Named Hero Team would make her a baby card!
**editors note: Jennifer has named her GORGEOUS baby girl Lila Grace. A fitting name for such a sweet little thing.

Well, I am just SO excited to be showing you this card today!

That's it!

Head over to A Blog named Hero to see all the rest of the cards :)

Wishing Jennifer and the rest of the McGuire family our biggest congratulations, sending all our love and happiness!! To Baby McGuire, WELCOME!!! We're so excited to meet you!

See you soon
