Hello!
It's a rainy old day here in Melbourne--which I can't believe since the city I've lived in for the last 6 years (and almost 23 years a few years prior to that) is almost always in the high 30's by now (that's Celsius too by the way!)

I would firstly like to say a very big thank you for all of your comments--I can't tell you how exciting it is to hear my phone chime and I get to read your kind words! They truly do bring a smile to my face.
Second of all, I want to wish my sweet complicated wonderful little Isabella a very very happy 4th birthday for yesterday! She had a lovely day surrounded by family and there were quite a few presents this year so she was so so excited. Happy birthday baby! (I'd also like to add that despite the fact that she turned 4, I haven't aged a day ... NOT)

OK! Onto the cards,,, I saw a fabulous Copic Colouring tutorial by the gorgeous Danielle over at her blog Neat and Tangled and decided I HAD to give it a go.
At first I just coloured a few butterflies in using Danielle's techniques:
Quelle surprise!! it worked perfectly! I still need a lot of practice, but just using her tips and techniques made SUCH a difference to my image. So next i cut all those babies out.
At first I was only going to make one for my granddad, who I'm missing terribly, but I liked the one so much I thought I'd go for a set.
sorry for the bad photo, I'm going to need a bigger photo tent! |
Here they are singularly---I'm totally crazily in love with this houndstooth stamp.
I made the detail on each butterfly a bit different for a point of interest:
On Miss Purple, white Enamel Accents on the dots and body.
On Miss Red, some sparkles (because red has to be sparkly :))
On Mr Blue and Green (because they're clearly boys lol) I kept it simple, white gel pen on the dots.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
One last thing--I'm so excited to be a part of the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog Bloghop on December 9, so make sure to pop by then, because there are prizes and some AMAZING people participating!
